Mulberries are a semi-tart tree fruit that bear in early-mid June. They grow in the wild very easily so you may come across a a few trees in your neighborhood. They are ripe when black and come off into your hand very easily.
Storage: Keep mulberries in a container in a plastic bag in the fridge. Use within a few days.
Preparation: Rinse under running water. Let dry on a paper towel if desired. Eat as-is or add to fruity dishes. They are not very tart, so you may want to cut down on sugar if you substitute for a tarter berry.
