Bell peppers come in green, red, purple, yellow, and orange. Red bell peppers are green peppers that have fully ripened. Bell peppers are sweet and family friendly. They are heat-loving plants and are in-season June-October.
Storage: Store unwashed and unsliced in a plastic bag in the fridge for up to a week; green bell peppers will keep the longest.
Preparation: Wash thoroughly, remove the stem, and slice in half. Using a share knife, remove the membranes and seeds. Eat raw, grill, add to soups, salads, sauces, and more.
