Watercress

Watercress has green, oval, succulent leaves. Part of the brassica family, watercress is a low-calorie peppery-flavored green. Watercress has plethora of nutrients and is very high in Vitamin K. It can be used in salad, steamed, added to soups, and as a nice tangy crunch to sandwiches.

Storage: Keep in a plastic bag in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Preparation: Rinse very thoroughly under running water. Alternatively, soak in water for 10 minutes before rising quickly. Add to salads, sandwiches, or top soups, use in dressings and sauces, and more.
